David Edmonds is a philosopher and journalist.  He worked for the BBC for over 30 years, making programmes in 64 countries and winning multiple awards.  He presented The Big Idea on the BBC World Service and launched The Philosopher’s Arms on Radio 4.  He is the author or editor of 14 books, 13 of them non-fiction.  These include Bobby Fischer Goes To War, Would You Kill The Fat Man?, Undercover RobotThe Murder of Professor Schlick and the international best-seller Wittgenstein’s Poker, for which Bill Clinton served as unpaid promoter.  He is in the Guinness Book of Records for his minor role in baking the world's largest Jaffa Cake.
